Twenty-five years after the series finale of Beverly Hills, 90210 aired on May 17, 2000, the cultural impact of the show lives on.

Centered on a group of siblings and friends living in the posh Southern California town during their high school years and beyond, the show made stars of its young cast, which included Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green.

Beverly Hills, 90210 later spawned a spinoff, Melrose Place, along with the 2008 reboot, 90210. In 2019, many of the show's original stars returned for BH90210, a revival that was based on the real lives of the cast.

In the years since Beverly Hills, 90210 came to an end, the show's leads have expanded into careers of their own. However, the cast has also been touched by tragedy with the loss of Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty.

Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor

Since her days as troubled Kelly Taylor, Jennie Garth has done a lot of TV work, including the sitcom What I Like About You costarring Amanda Bynes, which ended in 2006. She also reprised her role as a more responsible Kelly on the CW sequel series 90210, which ran from 2008 to 2013.

Garth played one of the lead characters on ABC Family's one-season sitcom Mystery Girls alongside her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Spelling before rejoining her longtime pal on the 2019 Fox reboot series.

After splitting with ex-husband Peter Facinelli, with whom she has three daughters, Garth married Dave Abrams in 2015. The two had a brief 10-month separation, but in January 2025, they announced they had called off their divorce.

Tori Spelling as Donna Martin

Tori Spelling played Kelly's best friend, Donna Martin, who was originally written as a supporting character, but was developed into a main one throughout the series.

Since then, the actress filled her time with a few reality shows — including So Notorious and Tori & Dean: Inn Love — and a 2016 vampire Lifetime movie. In 2019, she reprised the role of Donna for a multi-episode arc on the BH90210 reboot.

Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh

Aside from playing Brandon's fierce twin sister, Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210 — as well as the 2019 reboot — Shannen Doherty landed iconic roles on Charmed and in films like 1989's Heathers and 1995's Mallrats.

The actress had been open about her journey with breast cancer since her diagnosis in March 2015. She announced she was in remission in April 2017 and underwent breast reconstruction surgery in May 2018.

In early 2020, she announced she'd been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

However, Doherty continued to act, as she appeared in a Riverdale tribute episode for her late Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Luke Perry, who died in 2019, and starred in the 2021 film Fortress alongside Bruce Willis and Chad Michael Murray.

In April 2023, she announced her divorce from her husband of 11 years, producer Kurt Iswarienko.

On July 13, 2024, Doherty died at 53 years old.

Jason Priestley as Brandon Walsh

Jason Priestly played Doherty's on-screen brother, Brandon Walsh, on Beverly Hills, 90210 and reprised his role in the 2019 reboot series.

The father of two has been married to Naomi Lowde since 2005.

After playing the awkward David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210, Brian Austin Green went on to film other projects including Dancing with the Stars, a few episodes of The Conners and 2022's Last the Night.

Green has three sons with his ex-wife Megan Fox and a son with ex Vanessa Marcil.

The actor later began dating his DWTS partner, Sharna Burgess, in October 2020 and the pair welcomed son Zane on June 28, 2022. Burgess and Green got engaged in September 2023.

Tiffani Thiessen as Valerie Malone

After rising to fame as Kelly Kapowski on NBC's Saved by the Bell from 1989 to 1993, Tiffani Thiessen joined the teen drama as mean girl Valerie Malone for nine seasons.

The actress has been busy with other TV projects, including White Collar and , and reprising her iconic role as Kelly on Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot.

Thiessen is quite the culinary expert these days. Former host of the Cooking Channel's Dinner at Tiffani's, she previously told PEOPLE in 2017, "the kitchen is where I spend the most time." Now she works as the host of MTV's comedy food-related clip show Deliciousness.

The actress shares two children with her husband since 2005, Brady Smith.

After playing the privileged Steve Sanders, if Ian Ziering wasn't chain-sawing through storms of sea creatures alongside Tara Reid in the Sharknado franchise, he was proudly working as a Chippendales dancer.

Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Garth and Doherty even paid him a visit to one of his performances in 2013. "Judging by their reactions, I know they had a great time," he previously told PEOPLE about their mini-reunion, which was continued on the 2019 BH90210 reboot.

Married to Playboy model Nikki Schieler from 1997 to 2002, Ziering remarried in 2010, tying the knot with Erin Ludwig, with whom he has two young daughters. However, Ludwig filed for divorce in November 2019.

Luke Perry as Dylan McKay

After his run as the bad boy heartthrob Dylan McKay, Luke Perry returned to teen TV with a recurring role as Archie's dad, Fred Andrews, on the CW's Archie comics adaptation Riverdale.

The actor died at age 52 on March 4, 2019, five days after suffering a stroke.

Prior to his death, he hadn't signed on to the 90210 reboot, though the show did honor him.

Gabrielle Carteris was the oldest West Beverly High alumna on this list, and she's continued to stand up against ageism in Hollywood.

Carteris, who has done a lot of voice acting for video games and cartoons, wrote a 2016 guest column for The Hollywood Reporter in which she called for ages to be removed from casting sites like IMDb.

"This problem exists for all performers, but most distinctly for women," the former SAG-AFTRA president wrote.

She's been married for over three decades and has two daughters.
